VACANCY: Programme Director

As the City’s Local Cultural Education Partnership, Generation Hull is recruiting to the post of Programme Director to deliver our Place Partnership Project for the children and young people of the City of Hull. This transformation programme will support our children and young people to determine what they want to see in the cultural life of their schools, their city and their own creative futures; our children and young people have named this exciting programme

“Fight for Our Creative Futures”

Over three years you will lead an exciting and collaborative programme supported by partners and artists in the City to develop:

Ø  Arts Councils in schools and youth organisations and their creative projects;

Ø  A Children and Young People’s Cultural and Heritage Strategy for Hull;

Ø  60 work placements for young people in the creative organisations in our City;

Ø  10 fully funded apprenticeships; and

Ø  Support sustainable and digital access for creative projects and collaborations

You will have experience in delivering education or arts programmes, be committed to the principles of the Arts Council England ‘Let’s Create’ Strategy and be committed to ensuring that the voices of children and young people in our City are heard and acted upon.

The role is renumerated on a freelance basis at £48k per annum and is hosted by the Thrive Co-operative Learning Trust.  You will work across all partners in the city and will lead a small team to deliver the outcomes above.
